Nelson V. Alvarado, Director. Mr. Alvarado was elected as a member of the Board in November 2016. He has been a Licensed Financial Services Professional and Agent at New York Life Insurance Company (NYLIC) in Miami, Florida since 2013. Mr. Alvarado served as President, CEO & Director of International Finance Bank from 2000 to 2013. He has had an extensive professional career in the banking, financial and insurance industries, as well as in cultural and community organizations. Mr. Alvarado has both a B.A. in Political Science as well as a J.D. from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in International Business Management from University of California at Berkeley.

Matthew K. Cordis, Director. Mr. Cordis was elected as a member of the Board in March 2017.  He has 15 years of legal, financial and operations experience.  Following graduation from Washington University (B.S.B.A., magna cum laude) and Loyola University Chicago School of Law (J.D., with honors), Mr. Cordis began his legal career at Clarke Silverglate & Campbell in Miami, one of the top peer-rated law firms in the State of Florida, where he became a Partner after six years.  Following his tenure at Clarke Silverglate, Matthew served as President of CBC Global Capital, LLC, including responsibility for the company’s operations in the Republic of Colombia. In addition, Mr. Cordis served on the City of Miami Beach’s Finance and Citywide Projects Committee, and sat as President of the Presidential Condominium Association in Miami Beach (2005 and 2006), in which capacity he was responsible for the Association’s finances, budgets and long-term strategy.  From 2008 through 2010, Mr. Cordis also served on the Board of Directors of Plus International Bank in Miami.  Currently, he performs a multifunctional commercial and legal role for Ipsidy Inc., a biometric technology and financial/transactional systems company headquartered in New York.

Simon Cruz, Director, President & CEO. Mr. Cruz joined the Bank in September 2011. He has a distinguished banking career that spans three decades with community banks, international banks, money center banks and real estate investment firms. An active community leader for more than 25 years, he currently serves as a Board member of the School of International Public Affairs (SIPA) at Florida International University and as an outgoing Director of the Florida School of Banking of the Florida Bankers Association. Mr. Cruz served as a Miami Beach Commissioner for 10 years. He graduated cum laude from Rutgers University and went on to earn a Masters Degree in International Economics and Latin American Studies from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.

William Fuller, Director. Mr. Fuller was elected as a member of the Board in November 2016. He is a Co-Founder of Barlington Group, a South Florida real estate and private equity investment firm that focuses on the redevelopment of Miami's urban core. As a pioneer in the revitalization of Little Havana, Mr. Fuller has restored numerous commercial and residential projects on Calle Ocho and the surrounding neighborhoods. He has real estate experience in finance, sales, management, and construction. He has worked tirelessly to bring cultural ventures and new businesses to Little Havana's "Latin Quarter." He is President of the monthly festival, Viernes Culturales, and is a Co-Founder of the Little Havana Merchant Alliance. He also is a Trustee of the Dade Heritage Trust and a Board member of the City of Miami, "Stars of Calle Ocho". Mr. Fuller earned his undergraduate degree from Emory University.

Javier A. MonteroDirector. Mr. Montero was elected as a member of the Board in November 2016. He is the Operations Manager of Global Outsource Services LLC in Miami. The company services over 150 banks in the United States, the Caribbean and Europe. Mr. Montero has been in charge of managing more than 15 programmers and 5 customer service specialists. He is an expert in programming languages including RPG-400 and Java. Mr. Montero has a Masters of Science degree in Information Systems from Florida International University in Miami.

Georgina Shelton, Director. Ms. Shelton has served as a Director of the Bank since November 1998. She has been in the real estate industry for more than 30 years; including as the founder of Prats and Associates, Realtors in 1978. After building up a team of 250 associates, she sold the company to Prudential Florida Realty in 2000. She also served as President of the Board of Realtors. At the present time, Ms. Shelton operates The Joy of Learning, a highly acclaimed "state of the art" preschool, as well as Shelton Academy, both institutions that she founded in Doral, FL.

Jorge I. Triay, Chairman of the Board. Mr. Triay was elected as a member of the Board in 2015 and currently serves as Chairman. Mr. Triay has over 35 years of experience in the banking industry, where he has held various leadership and management roles.  He served as President, CEO, Vice Chairman and Member of the Board of Directors at First Bank of Miami for 12 years (2001-2014).  A former bank examiner with the Florida Office of Financial Regulations (OFR), Mr. Triay learned the banking business from the inside out.  He is a former President (2013-2014) of the Florida Bankers Association, and currently serves as a Board Member and on the Executive Committee of the Association. He is a graduate of Florida International University, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a Major in Banking and Finance.  He also earned a Certificate from the Conference of State Bank Supervisors (CSBS) at the University of Georgia in Athens.

Juan Xavier Estrada, Co-Trustee of The Intercredit Bank Trust. Mr. Estrada joined Intercredit Bank in 2007 following his studies at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, where he obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in Economics. He served as an Advisor to the Board until November 2016 and has worked in several areas of the Bank, including Wealth Management, Marketing, and as Senior Vice President of International Services. He currently serves as the Co-Trustee of the Intercredit Bank Trust, the main shareholder of Intercredit Bank, N.A.
